Having a Bodybuilding Guide with the latest and best information is essential for you to achieve total body health and fitness.
The term bodybuilding which means the art of displaying the muscles, did not exist prior to the late 19th century. A German man named Eugen Sandow is credited as being the pioneer and “The Father of Modern Bodybuilding.” Before Sandow, men displayed their bodies as part of strength demonstrations or wrestling matches. Sandow had a stage show built to display his body for carnivals through his manager, Florenz Ziegfeld. The Oscar winning 1936 film The Great Ziegfeld, depicts this beginning of modern bodybuilding.
In the 1970s, an Austrian named Arnold Schwarzenegger heralded bodybuilding with his super hero, chiselled physique. The 1977 film Pumping Iron, followed four elite bodybuilders (Mike Katz, Ken Waller, Lou “The Hulk” Ferrigno, and Arnold Schwarzenneger), in their lead up to the 1975 Mr. Universe and Mr. Olympia titles.
One guide that I think every serious bodybuilder must have, is Men’s Health: The Book of Muscle. It covers everything you need to know about your muscles and what makes them grow, complete with dietary recommendations, exercises for every muscle group, and exercise routines.
I think this is an absolute must have for someone who is seriously looking for an authoritative Bodybuilding Guide.
