Chest workout: hip pushups

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

http://fitness.scoobysworkshop.com
This is part three of my advanced pushup series. I will be doing 5 different types of advanced pushups and then I will combine them into one heck-of-a-chest workout.

This is a hip-pushup. It is very intense because almost 100% of your bodyweight is on your chest and almost none is on your feet. In this pushup variant, your hands pushup from your hips and your arms brush along your sides as you go up.

This is NOT a beginners exercise, it is for advanced bodybuilders only. If you have not been lifting for at least 6 months, dont even consider doing this because you will most likely get injured.

There are several other unique exercises in my advanced pushup series that I will be putting up individually also. Thanks for your patience, the advanced pushup video IS coming but it takes a long time to edit.

Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn’t have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money. A cheap dumbbell set from a garage sale or walmart is all it takes to get started with your home workouts.

Chest workout: backpack pushups

This is part two of my advanced pushup series. I will be doing 5 different types of advanced pushups and then I will combine them into one heck-of-a-chest workout.

The backpack pushup allows you to work out your chest much harder than with a normal pushup.

This is NOT a beginners exercise, it is for advanced bodybuilders only. If you have not been lifting for at least 6 months, dont even consider doing this because you will most likely get injured.

Bodybuilding Exercises - Chisel your Chest! part2

Friday, September 5th, 2008

http://MuscleMaximization.com
The Bench Press, The Incline Press, Flys, Dips these are all fabulous exercises for building a massive chest. Building a massive chest is only the beginning, a good bodybuilder is like a sculptor but instead of using the traditional brush or a piece of clay you are using weights to forge the chiseled look of perfection. These two exercise highlighted in this video are just two great examples of how to finish off your chest to add the detail that is so hard to come by.

bodybuilding exercise: incline front raise

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

Video showing proper form of the incline dumbbell front raise exercise for upper chest. This great exercise works out your shoulders and upper chest without putting any strain on your elbows. You can easily do this at home just with a simple set of dumbbells.

If you have an incline bench at home, thats great. I prefer just to use a board firmly tied to my coffee table because I dont have room for a dedicated bench.

As with any dumbbell exercise, form is key if you want to maximize your muscle building efforts and minimize the chance of injury. Don’t use too much weight, if you can’t do the exercise slowly then you need to go lighter. Count aloud “one onethousand, two onethousand, three onethousand” on the way up and the way down, if you cant do this on this exercise then you are using too much weight. The reason this exercise method maximizes your muscle growth is because it confines the motion to the muscle you are trying to work out, if your body squirms, swings, and kicks, all you are doing is taking the focus away from the muscle you are trying to exercise.

bodybuilding exercise: incline dumbbell press

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

Video clip showing proper form of the incline dumbbell press exercise for chest. This variation of the basic dumbbell press is a great mass builder also, just another twist to keep your muscles guessing. If you dont have an incline bench you can make one by securely tying a 2×8 to a coffeetable as I have done here. This exercise is best done with a spotter. If you are working out alone, use lighter weight and higer reps for safety.

bodybuilding exercise: incline dumbbell fly

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

Video clip showing proper form of the incline dumbbell fly exercise for pecs. Fly type exercises have done far more for my pec development than the pushing type exercises. In doing flys, make sure that your arms do NOT go behind the plane of your body as this puts too much stress on the shoulder joint. If you dont have a incline bench, you can make one as I have done here by tying a 2×8 securely to a coffee table. This exercise is best done with a spotter for safety, if you must do it alone use light weights and high reps.
